We have provided project management and cost management services to our client, Harworth Group, on their project at Waverley across various areas of the development including Highwall Park and Olive Lane car park. We’ve been instrumental on the horizontal development aspects of the project – focused mainly on earthworks such as drainage and ground improvement.

Approach
Olive Lane car park - The design intent of the newly constructed car park was to ensure that it blended in with the surrounding landscaped areas and offered a softer visual than traditional construction. The car park incorporates SUDs and natural material features whilst maintaining a cycle / footway route connecting the hotel / offices with the Olive Lane high street. Future provision for EV charging and a bike shelter has been installed.
Highwall Park phase 1 - Highwall Park is a public open space that is approx. 1.25km in length, phase 1 of the park is a high quality play space featuring bespoke play equipment including a large tower with bridge, basket swing, log scramble and slides. The space is designed as a focal point for connecting both ends of the development to lead pedestrian through the open space down to the lakeside.
Drainage remedials - Works involves lining of a legacy S104 foul sewer, correction of manhole defects and bringing the sewer to adoptable standard to ultimately handover the assets to the local water authority for maintenance.
Highlights
Phase 1 of the park was opened in May 2026 which was very well-received by the community. Phase 2 is currently in construction with more amenities and open space to be delivered.
The car park was opened in January 2026 and has been an effective addition to the site.
