This project, for client Infinity Park Derby, comprised the major upgrade of an existing four-way junction, with new extra traffic lanes, new cycle lanes and improved provisions for pedestrians to improve active travel and traffic flow in all directions. The works involved resurfacing the entire junction, upgrading to four-way traffic signals, upgrading street lighting, significant utilities diversions and associated landscape works – including tree protection for large oak and willow trees, all whilst maintaining a fully-operational junction for road and pedestrian users.

Approach
We compiled a list of suitable contractors, then produced tender and contract documents. We did a Pre-Tender Estimate of the technically approved information. The Bentley team were then in charge of on-site management, early warning management, compensation event management, risk management and the coordination of the whole team of stakeholders.
